The engine is the heart and soul of the truck, but this sentence is not complete until and only if you add another element to it. Truck tire is also an indispensable component for your vehicle.
Tires in any vehicle play an important role for a smooth and safe journey. Besides providing traction, they also bring stability to the vehicle and improve the performance of the vehicle.
Today, tires are designed differently to fit a specific purpose and application. While some tires are often designed for family cars and safe driving, others are more suitable for heavy vehicles used to move goods, materials such as truck, dump truck, trailer... In addition, tires are not only different in size, brand or price, but they are also different in the structure that almost vehicle owners or tire buyers of tires rarely know. On the basis of structure, tires can be classified into two categories, included Radial (steel belts) and Bias-ply (nylon belts).
Let's take a look at the comparison below between Radial and Bias tires to find out how they really affect our daily driving work.
Bias: The tire carcass is constructed using two or more layers of bias plies that are diagonally oriented. The fiber layers create the centerline of the tire at the cross angle of 30 ~ 45 degree. Two breaker layers can be added between the tire carcass and the tire tread. The bias ply tire has thick sidewall so that when moving, there will be more heat.
Radial: consists of one or more perpendicular steel or fiber layers creating an angle of 90 degree to the tire tread center. To enhance the tire structure, two or more layers of steel belt are added between the tire carcass and the tire tread.

Based on the advantages of these two types of tire that people often use in different conditions: radial tire when the vehicles frequently travel on the road (long distance) with a stable and flat road surface. Bias tire is used on rough roads, suffers external forces better than radial tire, so it is suitable for roads with many obstacles.
