The signs to identify you need to perform the wheel alignment when the tire shows signs of uneven wear, the steering wheel is not straight or the vehicle has a driving sign to one side due to wrong precision or angle of the wheel.

What is wheel alignment ?

Wheel alignment, also known as wheel precision adjustment, will increase tire life, while helping the vehicle operate more efficiently and safely.

The wheel angle is often the least concerned item when the customer brings the vehicle for regular maintenance, however the wheel alignment, also known as the wheel precision adjustment, will have the following significant effects :

  • Prevent vehicle from unsteady steering
  • Prevent uneven tire
  • Prevent steering wheel from being skewed
  • Extend the life of tires

Firstly, check your tires if they have irregular wear on the surface. From there, observe these signs when driving to see if it is encountered or not, such as: eccentric steering wheel while driving in a straight line, vibrating the steering wheel abnormally and the vehicle pulled to one side. You should also keep an eye on the sudden inefficiency in fuel consumption. When you notice these signs, take your car to a reputable service store and check it out. There are a number of signs that you can identify when you need to align the wheel. If you see one or more of the following signs, you need to bring your car to professional technicians soon to check the wheel precision: The tread surface is uneven, the vehicle is deflected to the left or right, the steering wheel is not at the central position when driving in a straight line, the steering wheel vibrates.

Reasons why the driving wheel lost alignment

The wheel losing alignment can occur when you bump into a roadside or drive through a pothole, or in more serious situations such as an accident that damages your vehicle's suspension. This imbalance may also occur when parts of the suspension are worn out or when they are replaced. When the driving wheel is out of balance, the tire can wear out quickly on the side of the tire and can negatively affect the control of the vehicle. When this happens, you will definitely have to change your tire sooner than you expected. In the process of operation, your tire is worn out unevenly because of the uneven transport vehicle weight, which will cause centrifugal force to cause the tire to bounce irregularly. Therefore, when replacing the new tire, the driving wheel should be adjusted so that your tires will increase their lifespan and the vehicle will not vibrate.

Why is the wheel alignment necessary ?

Wheel adjustment can affect whether tires are worn out evenly. The goal of adjusting the wheel precision is mainly to minimize tire wear and tear, as well as to create the most comfortable feeling for drivers and passengers. Wheel alignment on all four wheels reduces tire wear, increases tire life and performance, and improves fuel efficiency. It also improves driving control to ensure passenger safety by minimizing problems related to vehicle stability.
